Despite its importance and better productivity, little attention is given to the production of avocado oil in Ethiopia. Raw avocado is abundantly available in Ethiopia, but avocado oil as a by-product is new to the country despite its high quality and nutritional value. It can be also be used in cosmetics for skin and hair treatments, besides its aesthetic value in restaurants.
